Common Questions
Navexa started with one man’s (our founder, Navarre’s) dream; to track his long-term investment portfolio’s true performance with the best data & technology available in Australia.
It has grown to a team of tech geeks and finance nerds that lives and breathes portfolio tracking technology for a global community of self-directed wealth builders from all walks of life.

You should use Navexa if you care about building a long-term investment portfolio using accurate data & analytics, actionable insights & automated reporting & analysis tools (like tax reporting, portfolio diversification, portfolio contributions and more).
Yes! Once you set up your account and import your portfolio (using either our generic file importer or one of the many for which we’ve created bespoke uploading tools) you can instantly see your historical performance in depth & detail. Plus, once you enable automatic contract note forwarding, you’ll see every new trade you make reflected in your Navexa portfolio performance.
It sure does. Navexa records every single dividend your investments receive and factors them into both your overall portfolio performance and individual income reporting tools. You can set holdings to record both paid and reinvested dividends.
True portfolio performance is your net return after all factors impacting your portfolio have been accounted for; time, trading fees, investment income, currency gains and, to an extent, taxation. Most trading platforms display nominal gains as opposed to true performance. Navexa shows you your real returns.

If you’re being cynical, yes. If you’re being honest, the Navexa Portfolio Tracker is to the spreadsheet what digital streaming is to VHS. You can still watch stuff on a tape, if you want. But it’s clunky, unreliable and WAY lower quality.
The data you see in Navexa is live with a standard 20-minute delay from the exchanges.
You choose your base currency when you create your portfolio. Prices are quoted in whichever one you select.
We use the Modified Dietz Method for calculating your return. Returns are then annualized to give you the best representation of how your portfolio is performing over the long term. You can read more about this calculation method in our post, How Navexa calculates your portfolio returns.
Account & Billing Questions
You can trial Navexa free for 14 days. We offer a range of subscription options to suit different requirements. These start with a limited free membership and go up to a customizable, multiple-portfolio paid membership. We offer both monthly and annual plans. Full pricing here.
Easy. If you find that you need a higher level of membership to suit your requirements, just click your username in your account and select ‘Change Plan’. This will bring you to a page where you can select which plan you’d like to move to. If you’re on a monthly plan, you’ll be charged the new membership fee at the beginning of your next billing cycle. If you’re on an annual plan, you’ll pay the difference in plan prices for the remainder of your current billing period.
It is. While it might seem difficult to do, we have a versatile portfolio file upload tool that allows you to add portfolio data in various formats. You can either export a .CSV file from your current portfolio tracker, and upload that into Navexa, or you can use our Broker File Uploader to upload information direct from your trading account.
Absolutely! Security is our primary concern and we have taken many measures to ensure the safety of your data. Our website uses SSL Encryption (note the green padlock in your address bar) so no one can intercept your data between your browser and us. Our databases are also encrypted.
Absolutely. Just select ‘Billing Details’ from the dropdown under your username in your Navexa account. You can update card details there and ensure no disruption to your membership.
Add your new details. See ‘Can I Update My Credit Card Details’. You’ll have access until your account is due for renewal (on both monthly and annual plans). Be sure to check that you’re card details are up to date!
Plenty. Our tech team are always here to help you with any questions, problems or suggestions you may have using Navexa. You can get in touch via the feedback form on each page of your account, through our Contact page, and at info@navexa.io.
Plus, you can head over to the Navexa Forum to browse conversations across the Navexa community. Our members go here to suggest features, report bugs and vote on ideas about what they’d like to see on the platform in the future.

If you’re like the rest of our community, you’ll have plenty of ideas for ways we can make your experience even better. It might be supporting a crypto exchange file, adjusting the interface, creating a new report — anything that strikes you as a good idea as you use your account. The best way to suggest these ideas is on the Navexa Forum. We’ll review it along with the rest of the Navexa community and take it from there.
